Strategies that have improved my sleep
I never struggled with sleep until I did. These strategies have definitely helped. I don't achieve all of these every day but this is what I aim for. Every aspect of my life seems to benefit when I have good sleep. In no particular order;
Easier said than done but no doom scrolling at any time of the day but I especially try to avoid this in the morning and before bed.
Exercise - even 30 minutes of brisk walking, anything that gets the heart rate up.
Daily sun exposure (wearing SPF 50).
Magnesium glycinate 1-2 hours before bed.
Chamomile tea before bed but not as much in the summer months.
Reading - especially before bed to wind down with low lighting.
Keeping my bedroom space clean/tidy.
Gratitude - reflect on the day and pick 3 things I'm grateful for before bed.
